What we do
What we do
At the Polly Lab, we study ecological and evolutionary paleontology. Our interests are in the macroecology, phylogeny, development, and evolution of mammals and other vertebrates (sometimes invertebrates too). We have expertise in trait-based ecology, ecometrics, spatial processes, quantitative evolution, morphometrics, and phylogenetics (with a little bit of genomics).
Graduates of our group work in universities, museums, government agencies, publishers, gaming companies, and environmental remediation firms.

This year we are in Helsinki. The Polly Lab is visiting the Department of Geosciences and Geography at Univesity of Helsinki in Finland from 1 July 2024 through 30 June 2025. We will return to Indiana University after that date.
